Klutch and Pilburn managed to hold on to the lead lap most of the time while Burnout spent about 80 laps or so one lap down. Burnout was able to be in front of the leader when a yellow flew to get his lap back. That put him in contention of winning a race racing Klutch and Pilburn for the top spot. Klutch once again had a pit miscue and was forced to give up first to get fuel to the end. He was able to race back into second but was unable ... News! Unreal. The racing still stayed pretty competitive that first run...cars witin 3 seconds of the lead the whole time. A late race wreck took Burn and Pil to the back of the field and handed the lead over to Fastman. On the final lap, Fastman made one mistake and it handed the lead over to Doc in the #99 Ford for Roush Fenway. Doc took the checkers to score his second win in a row in TS NASCAR. Final ... News! Doc won the race under a controversial situation. On the final lap, Doc was leading, Burn 2nd and Pilburn 3rd. We got thru the first few turns no differnet then Doc made a left hander and ran off the track and Burn was able to pass. A couple seconds later, Burn noticed the "yel" and slowed up heeding the caution. Doc only faded to 2nd but continued to drive on till the checkered with everyone else doing the same thing. The wreck happened way behind the lead group, so I shouldn't have slowed down racing to the line. Doc made a point about the 2007 Daytona 500, when Harvick and Martin raced to the checkers even though the bigone happened behind them. That was the right call for that race and that's what we will do in this league too. However, there are instances in which we CAN call yellow on the final lap. When and When Not to ...
